All You Need

Lack is no stranger to anyone. We’ve all experienced lack in our lives in some area. Maybe it’s love, financial, wisdom, patience. Many experience a lack of words in conversations, or a lack of courage in facing their fears. There seems to be an infinite number of ways we can experience lack. Of course, lacking something that you need is not enjoyable and can be quite stressful.

The good news is, it’s in your deficiency that you will find God’s abundance. John 10:10 tells us that Jesus came to give us life and life in abundance. Everything we need, we can find in Christ.

Ephesians 1:3 NIV “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING in Christ.”

The word blessing is translated as bountiful gift. Did you catch that? Our Heavenly Father has blessed us with EVERY BOUNTIFUL GIFT through the Spirit. Hallelujah! Thank You, Jesus!

All You Need

Do you need wisdom? It’s yours. Do you need direction? It’s yours. Do you need peace. That’s yours too. How about strength, provision, healing, confidence, or hope? You got it. Those are also yours. Everything you need is bountifully available to you in Christ.

We tend to think that the key words here are Every Spiritual Blessing. We love those words. Those words make us happy and joyful. Those kinds of words get us all pumped up, and rightly so. But the real key words in this verse is IN CHRIST.

In Christ means the condition in which something operates from the inside. In other words, every spiritual blessing is bountifully made available to you when your life is in the condition of operating completely in Christ. That doesn’t mean being perfect. It means living, talking, acting in such a way as to bring honor to the King of Kings.

We live in an entitlement society. Somehow as a society there is a new popular belief that everything you want should be given to you without it costing you anything. That’s what is wrong with many so called Christians today. They want the bountiful blessings of God and to be able to lay claim to all of God’s promises while they live and operate in the world’s way of living so they can also fulfill the desires of their flesh.

“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.” Romans‬ ‭8:5-8‬ ‭NIV ‬‬

You cannot live according to the flesh and walk daily in the blessings and promises of God. People want all God has for them but don’t want to sacrifice their for it. They want it all without it costing them nothing. That’s why many are walking away from God today. They believe God has failed them because they believe He has not followed through on His Word. When in reality, they didn’t receive the bountiful blessings of God because they refused to repent, change the way they live, think, act, talk, etc.

You either live according to the flesh or you live according to the Spirit. The fruit you have to eat in your life is dependent upon how you choose to live. You can live according to the Spirit and feast on His bountiful blessings, or you can live to please your flesh, and die eating the quickly rotting fruit of the flesh.

But, for those who are in Christ, they never have to lack anything. Life in abundance is available. It all comes down to us putting our complete trust in God and believing that He will fulfill His promises.

Psalm 84:11  “no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

I hope you will put your trust in God and enjoy the bountiful blessings of our Heavenly Father. Today and every day, in Him, you will find all you need.
